Jalapenos. .lot but narrow.

Amazing amount of jalapenos, but they are narrow. I live in the desert so I water in the morning and sprinklers hit them at night for 5 minutes. Plant is big and healthy looking, at a loss.

If the peppers are narrow, they're going to remain narrow. Nothing you can do at this point. It could be the variety; could be the way you grew them (lack of sufficient water & fertilizer). Regardless - at this point, just enjoy them as is.

If it is narrow are you sure it is a jalapeno. Could it be a serrano which is more topedo shaped than Christmas bulb shaped?

Ahh yes - if the peppers are VERY narrow, as in not looking like Jalapenos at all, then chances are good you're looking at a variety other than Jalapeno.
