Hello. I'm somewhat new to growing veggies. This year, I'm in a new apartment and am stuck with a small area of roof for a few plants. Bought a Carolina reaper plant from the local farmers market and some basil. I was stupid to buy the two dollar bag of potting soil from walmart. Didnt realize they sold fox farm at a landscape supply store till after the fact. I did get some grow big and big bloom from our co op though.

Anyway, I transplanted into this container hoping it would be big enough. Hope it is. There seems to be white flowers on it already. Is that normal? Its so short. It can't be flowering yet, can it? Took some photos. I don't know if I like this self watering pot I got from walmart.

By the way...the gray stuff on the leaves is diotomateous earth. Read its a great natural insect repellent. Used the wet method. Hope I didnt put to much on. Thanks for all advice and comments!!!
