Hi,
I have few hot pepper plant that seems growing very well not and is flowering and fruiting. But lately I noticed some of the new leaves started wrinkling and curled up inwards. More and more leaves are appearing that way.
Could it be due to environmental stress like too hot? (As I live in Malaysia)
Or any other reason that anyone can guide me?

I have this problem with my cajamarca. it started really early and has persisted for almost 4 months now. I tried a calcium/magnesium supplement while they were still indoors and it didn't make any difference. about 10 days after I moved it outside I gave all my peppers a good dose of composted chicken fertilizer and every single plant is looking gorgeous, except the cajamarca. it's producing new growth and has about 10 peppers on it already, so it seems to be fairly happy, but I can't keep the leaves from wrinkling.

that was when they were still inside, but that's basically what's happening. totally bizarre.

I thought it was over watering but was controlling it nicely.

Last year my Serrano pepper had curling leaves too. I tried to find answers and narrowed it down to either it being a virus or the roots were not taking up nutrients correctly (I used clay in my potting mix). I almost gave up and destroyed the plant cause I was believing it caught a virus, cause some of the leaves were discolored and some were dropping from the plant. What I did was I improved the potting soil and added rock dust and fed it liquid fish fertilizer.
It took awhile but the plant is now all healthy. The plant is 2 years old now and the beginning of the year I pruned it down to a few inches cause the plant had no more leaves on the bottom and middle due to it being sick earlier in the year. Now the plant is really green and bushy and lots of flowers and peppers.

I think your plants are rootbound and having a hard time taking up nutrients. Only time I seen curled leaves is when it has a virus or issues with the soil or pot. Either pot being too small or inadequate potting soil make it hard for the plant to take in nutrients correctly as well as water. I have had the same issue before with curled leaves, but in my case the potting soil was not suitable. I had added about 1/4 of clay. I started adding lots of compost and rock dust and over time the plant improved.
Hi PunkRotten ok will try to improve those condition or perhaps switch to a bigger pot. Hi OROZ your plants seems to have similar issues as my plants. The foliar spray that you used is it chemical?OROZCONLECHE wrote:This is what happen to my Naga Morich, All I did was foliar spray with some Calcium CalCarb and it bounced back up with lots of new growth and the leaves got better, not the affected ones but all the new growth
