Green Bell Pepper - Brown Spots on Leaves

This year, I am growing on green bell pepper plant. The plant seemed to be doing fine, but recently, ther leaves started developing brown spots and falling off. some even turned yellow first. What is happening to me pepper plant, and is there anything I can do to save it?
Let me know if a picture would be helpful, because I will post one if it is needed.

I have an idea what it is but a picture would help me be more certain.

my guess is bacterial leaf spot or cercospora leaf spot - if it is, copper sulfate spray can help control, but not eliminate it.
lesions with cercospora are more circular in appearance, while those with bacterial leaf spot are more angular.

Joe- My guess is that it's a fungus named Alternaria. It's somethmes called "leaf spot" or "early blight." I had it on tomato plants but when I studied up on it I read that it attacks peppers too. I got a tiny bit on couple peppers too. It lives in the soil so if wind or rain or watering splashes the soil on the leaves it'll grow. It needs moist conditions. When my tomatos first got it, I didn't treat them and I had to pull them all up. My new seedlings started to get it so, needing a sloution fast, I sprayed them with an antifungal soap like safer soap with copper sulfate in it and it stopped it. There are more earth frienldy solutions like compost tea (I think Opabina told me about this) or some sort of apple cider vinegar tea. I haven't need to make these yet. If you pull your plants, don't throw the disease plants in the compost because the fungus can overwinter and come back. Hope this helps.
