11 inch is cutting it close, but give it a shot and see how it works out. Be sure to use lots of compost and ample rain water to make up for the limited space.
Peppers like LOTS of sun and being near (about a foot, foot-and-a-half away from) tomatoes. Have fun!
I'll say this... I have bell peps, jalepenos, and long hots in 3 seperate 5 gallon Lowes buckets with holes drilled in the bottom and 20oz. plastic bottles at the bottom to help with drainage; I have potting soil, perlite and peat moss in the mix and I fertilize once a week and water regularly and they are doing AWESOME! I have about 15 long hots on there half of them about 4 or 5 inches long already. The rest are flowering except for a couple here and there that are bearing peps (they were planted a little later than the others) They do like alot of sun and to be near tomatoes (which mine are) which was mentioned already. Good luck to you and I hope you get some high yields!!!!
thanks all for the helpful responses. the 11in isn't really working out as my brothers pup had fun chewing on some its leaves because it was too close to the ground
I wound up putting two more of my jalepenos and one tomatoe into a 5 gallon self water bucket system
