My not-quite-finished-compost I spread around the garden beds were not weed-free ... and I have some REALLY interiguing VOLUNTEER tomato seedlings that I will keep and grow as long as they don’t get overwhelmed by soil-borne fungal disease
- wispy skinny leaves usually indicate hearts or elongated/pointed fruits
- look at these antho/purple foliage and stems. The one with wispy foliage could be Sergeant Pepper’s
- AAAAND VARIEGATED leaves this early promises pretty significant variegation in the next several pairs of true leaves
— is anyone else letting their volunteer tomato seedlings grow?
