2015 Biggest Mater Thread

I didn't see a "biggest" thread started yet, so here goes with an early entry. This is a Grandma Oliver's Chocolate (or maybe GO Red? I lost track). This will get surpassed in short order, but you have to start somewhere.... :-()

Still no whopper yet, and I don't really expect any. But this one is bigger than my last, so here goes. Might end up being my biggest...we'll see. I look forward to seeing some big ones from you all....

This one is a slightly under-ripe German Johnson.

I have a big still-green Wes grown from seeds from that last big Wes fruit I had (the triple I think). I will post when it is ready. :D

We'll call it tie. I'd say that half ounce is within the margin for error on both our scales. Someone will be along with a whopper soon enough....

I *might* have one a little larger coming, but no really big ones for me this year it seems..... :hehe:

Big cherokee purple. Was showing 1 pound 5 ounce when I picked it. Now showing 1 pound 4 ounce. lol. I can settle for a tie for now. I'm sure someone will beat it anyways.

Ok...so turns out I wasn't done with biggies. I have a later maturing Lehrer Tomate grown from a cutting off of my main plant. Seems like many of the fruit here are cat-faced multiple fruits for some reason. I had two tomatoes on one truss that were almost 3.5 pounds together, and I have one still on the vine that will likely be bigger than this one!

This has nothing to do with your tomatoes actually. I simply wonder where on earth you got your gate/arbor/trellis?
I repurposed a similar one I found hiding in some overgrown bush in my backyard after purchasing my current house. Long gone is the bush and it is now used as an entrance to the garden, with a Centennial hops plant embracing it.

No clue where it came from. It came with the house. Looks pretty similar to yours though

not the largest I grew but I did have a couple bigger. I hope to do better next season....my largest was still less than 3 lbs personal best three and a half pounds
