Hi there,

Could someone help me identify this flower?

Thank you!

Waah -- this is such a frustrating photo! I keep wanting to enlarge it/zoom in -- file is too small -- scroll to the left/shift the frame to the right for an ENTIRE leaf image -- they are all partial and I can't tell the leaf shape -- and a better look at those flower buds -- not in focus!

My guess is a dahlia of some sort.

My guess was also Dahlia, especially looking at the nodding buds in the photo.

Nope, looks like a dinnerplate dahlia. Don't know which one, but this one is a stunner. Could be Snowbound or Café au Lait hybrids.

Yes, I was thinking rose of sharon, which is also a hibiscus, just not the tropical one.

There are double rose of sharon's as well:

and no, dusty boot, the new pictures didn't really help much. For ID we need to see the leaves, how the leaves are attached on the branches (alternate or opposite), the plant as a whole.

But from the glimpse we have of leaves and buds, I'm thinking some double hibiscus, either the rose of sharon, or the tropical.

I still say Dahlia rather than hibiscus based on the buds I can see at the top of the last photo. Photos of the leaves would definitely help too though!

Not a rose of Sharon. I have the double and the single in in the garden. It definitely does not look like that.

Dusty. Can you show us the whole plant with a reference so we can tell how big it is and pictures of the leaves.
