In gardening magazines what do these time spans mean in terms of the months. Like mid summer, early summer, late summer, early fall, late fall? I'm in zone 6 if that helps

Thanks
Peter

Hi Pete,
Here is what I interpret Early, Mid and Late season to mean in the Northern Hemisphere and for me in zone 6.
Spring - March 21 to April 21 EARLY, April 21 to May 21 MID ,
May 21 to June 21 LATE Spring.
Summer - June 21 to July 21 EARLY, July 21 to Aug. 21 MID, Aug. 21 to Sept. 21 LATE Summer.
Fall- Sept. 21 EARLY, Oct. MID, Nov. LATE Fall.

I had to laugh when I read your post. Here in zone 9a this is how I interpret Early, Mid and Late season:

Spring - __EARLY Feb 10 to Feb 31, MID March 1 to March 30, LATE April 1 to April 15
Summer - EARLY April 16 to May 31, MID June 1 to Aug. 31, __LATE Sept 1 to Oct 15
Fall- _____EARLY Oct 16 to Oct 31, MID Nov 1 to Dec 1, _____LATE Dec 1 to Dec 25
