Sick Cannas?

I have recently bought a house with a lot of cannas (?) in the back yard. I know that when the leaves die they turn brown and fall off. However, these are looking worse for the wear. We have had a ton of rain in the central Texas, so I don't know if that is a contributor or maybe they have pesticide issues. Can anyone help me identify by looking at my photos? Thanks in advance!

That is not cannas-it is Cast Iron Plant. They prefer some shade, but will grow almost anywhere. Too much rain, too much sun, slugs are their most common pests. Mine look like this sometimes-if it bothers you, just use scissors and cut off the bad looking parts. This plant is called Cast Iron for a reason-Almost nothing will kill it.
