Replanting bulbs

I have dug up most of the bulbs because I need to move them. Most of them (tulips and daffodils) have already started to grow probably because we have had such continual warm weather. I want to replant them but am wondering if I need to make sure that the green parts are above ground. The growth is probably two or three inches or less. There are hundreds of various sizes so it will be a real chore to keep the little green parts peeking out. I have separated them and had no idea there were so many under there!

Thanks! Now if it will just finally dry up a little from these torrential rains that we have been having, I will try to get them in the ground.
