Help me save a dying sunflower!

Hello. So, three weeks ago I started growing "dwarf" sunflowers in various flower pots.

The day before yesterday something dreadful happened, a football was thrown into one of my flower pots and it killed two of the three flowers I had in there. There's only one remaining, see pic

The leaves have wilted and it's lopped on its side a little, but the stem looks healthy. What steps can I do to ensure my little sunflower sprout survives? Should I trim off the leaves or part of the stem for it to regrow or should I leave it alone? I water them daily. I want it to live.

That looks like too much water to me. Sunnies like dry feet, and a good amount of sun.
