I inherited this garden from my Dad and so I have a fair bit of catching up and remodelling to do. One way of tracking progress is to keep a video diary. Does anybody else do this/

I love the idea of a video diary about your garden! This is definitely the best possible way to keep track of all the changes and improvements. And in the end it gives you a great feeling of satisfaction, when you see the first and the last recordings. I also just moved to a house with a garden which needs a complete makeover, so I get how hard it is to start from the beginning. At first, I think you should decide what would you like to do with the space. There are so many options - flower garden, vegetable garden, container gardening... You'll have to choose what you want to grow in it, and then decide what you want it to look like.
