Help ID a flowering vine from South Africa

A poster on another forum at which I post placed this flower for ID...too exotic for me!

I am wondering if you all can tell me what this is, he would be thrilled to know.

OK, gather round all ye experts, I have one I can't find.....the flower grows on a vine, it's been there for quite a long time judging by the stem (I have done all my building around it) The flower opens at night with an audible "pop" and stays open for about 3 days and then drops off. It's yellow with brown stripes on the inside, (the sun in the pic made it look white)....

I didn't know if you would go back over there to see my reply, but I wanted to say that I am sorry if I came off sounding snotty about "slow". I really didn't mean it that way. I simply meant that the activity level there is very very high, comparitively. You would think that a bunch of homesteaders would have better things to do than while away their time on an online message board....

Most garden forums tend to quieten down a bit at this time of year. Did you realise it is only 4 months til Xmas!

So do gardeners gear up for the holiday season? Or are they just busy pulling weeds and squishing bugs and canning tomatoes and planting garlic and harvesting squash? It's sorta that way for homesteaders, too. (See other site for explanation!) The cold winter weather and long, dark days are much better suited to online "fireside chats." And some rather heated arguments when cabin fever gets the best of us!
