Here are a couple pictures of my flower bed, it's one of my favorite gardening efforts. We have a nice small covered patio behind the flower bed where we can sit and admire the view. It's all from seed, either sprinkled, started from seed in trays and transplanted or volunteers from the year before, but even those were started from seed prior. I think this is the third year. Being in Southern California I typically focus on drought tolerant around the yard, so this is my water indulgence. Unfortunately the pictures don't quite do the bed or flowers justice. At last count there were 12 different flowers in bloom. Bed size is about 18x8. There are Cosmos, 4 O'clock, Salvia, Sage, Baby's Breath, Stock, Alyssum, Calendula, Verbena, Pin Cushions.... I don't deadhead the Cosmos as the finches like to come and feed on the seeds.
