Need Help with Flower ID

I live in NW Missouri out in the country and there is one flower in our yard that has been there since I can remember. Most of the time in the spring it is just a group of leaves that are individual stalks growing out of the ground (no picture of those sorry).

Occasionally it blooms in the fall and looks like this:

I believe it is some type of tulip, can anyone confirm or deny this and tell me the specific type?

Those are "surprise lilies" or I have also heard them called "naked ladies" and "ressurecton lilies"
Lycoris squamigera is the latin name..
Haven't seen any of those in years... :)

those are lilys of some kind ! I grow lilys , but have never seen that kind , but those are some of the prettyest I have ever seen. I want some now. :D
