German Ivy Problems

I got some German water Ivy looked really good till I noticed they a getting Brown purple coloring on the older leaveswhat could it be

I love German Ivy and wish I still had one. They are such beautiful and easy-to-grow plants. As to your problem, I had scale a couple times on my Ivy…perhaps that’s what’s causing the brown on the leaves? The leaves will fade, wither and fall off eventually if it’s untreated scale. My other guess would be some sort of fungus. It’s hard to tell without seeing it. Whatever it is, I hope you’re able to figure it out and treat it before it spreads.
