Hi everyone,
Are there any Lantana experts here? I am considering planting some around a pool fence but I need to know which Lanata I can use as a perennial. I am kind of getting conflicting information (it's probably not really conflicting, I'm just misunderstanding) about which variety is perennial for zone 8 and which is an annual. Aesthetically, I prefer the lantana camara pinata but am not sure if it is a perennial or not. I don't want to have to replant every year. Any help?

Lantanas are beautiful and I can see why you’d like some by your pool fence. In your zone however, expecting them to perform as a perennial may be iffy. In mild winters they may reappear in spring after dying back in fall, however you may be better off re-planting. They’re fast-growers and quite hardy. Here’s a link to one of my favorites. Even if it doesn’t make it through winter, it’s easy to re-establish the next spring. Good luck!
