Hello,
I'm new to this forum and wanted to pose my first question. I have a fairly large hibiscus plant that is planted in the ground. The plant has always done well until recently. I live in Southern California and we did have a late summer heat wave.
The plant has many flowers but, the leaf growth is very small and sporadic. I have recently fertilized it and it gets watered regularly.
Is there anything I can do to promote bigger, healthy leaves?
Thank you.

Mine only does that when
gall mites have attacked the leaves

or they haven't been watered enough.
If you have fertilized and you are watering enough it may just take time. I don't water hibiscus in the ground once it is established, it usually gets better when the rainy season starts. I do have problems with the hibiscus in pots because I only water every four days or so and they are not in full sun.
