Carnations from seed...?

Hi Everyone, I'm pretty much new to gardening! I've started a tray of carnation seeds in peat pellets about two weks ago. Some I put one or two seeds each in, and others I put a few more. A lot of them seem to be falling over and they just don'tlook very sturdy. They're about 2 inches tall now. I have two plant lights on them since I don't have a south facing window in my house.

It is said that the second week of may is the time when flowers can be safely planted outside here. I'm just wondering if these seedling are normal or if I should start different ones. It almost seems like I didn't plant them deep enough, I just kind of pressed them into the soil. Maybe I should have put more soil on top? I can put a picture up if that will help.

I've always bought my flowers from nurseries, I've never tried growing any seedlings of my own before so I'll need some advice!

Thanks a bunch,
Jessi

Sounds like they did not get enough sunlight and are stretching. This is how plants get "leggy"....

Try to trans-plant them into a new pot deep enough to keep them upright...

PS photos always help
