The soil looks dry but my moist meter shows the soil is either wet or moist; therefore, I didn't water it for three straight days.

Look at this, I can tell the plant is not happy!

And this baby too!
The weather in Orange County, Southern California is about 80 degree and the flower bed has plenty of sun.
I hope I didn't water too much and kill all these plants that I just bought last Saturday.
Thanks for your help.

Get rid of the meter and trust your senses. Your plants look wilted and your soil looks dry. How does the soil feel to you when you stick a finger in it?
Your meter could just be reading wrong. If the soil feels dry, water!!
You can test the meter, by making some soil very wet and using some you know is dry and see how the meter reads on them.
