Covering iris for a night a frost?

Hello all!! 2 years ago I planted some iris bulbs along side my driveway. Last year only one bloomed, but this year they are blooming incredibly!! My question is that it is supposed to freeze tonight and I don't know if I should cover them or not. I am not sure, but I believe that they are bearde iris's, if that helps. Also, according to the forecast, it doesn't look to be actually freezing for more than a couple of hours.

Please help me save these wonderful plants!! Thank you in advance for your help!!

We've had a couple nights where the temps got to about 30 - 32 degrees and our spring flowers (daffys and hyacinths) did fine Our irises have been sprouting and doing OK as well so I don't believe you need to cover them.

When a few nights got into the mid 20's we covered the plants though.

Hope this is helpful. :)

Thanks!! I wasn't sure if it would harm all the buds on them or not.
