Sophora sun king

Hi, I am new to this forum, and quite new to gardening. I bought Sophora sun king last year. It has lost abort 95 % of its leaves, and the ones remaining don't look good. There is no new growth. There are a couple of flowers at the lower part. The plant is in a pot, and is about 40 cm tall. Idont know if it can be saved or not, any suggestions? I can't plant it out, as I am planning to move house soon....Thanks for help.

I can't be much help, since I had never heard of this evergreen tree before.

But looking it up:

suggests that it is a full sun, hot weather tree, that is only hardy to US zone 8 - 10. I wouldn't have thought that conditions in Oxford would be appropriate for it.

If it is in a pot it dried out. Simple. You must water plants just like you eat. The odds are great that it will not come back however you can try putting it in a shady location and water. when you are thirsty you drink so plants need the same thing.
