Daffodil Seeds - When to Plant

I just collected some seeds off some beautiful Daffodils I have had my eye on from the local Museum/Gardens Grounds and I wondered - when should I plant them in the soil. Fall Like the bulbs or do I start them earlier so they get a chance to grow before the fall/Winter?

I have so many questions in regards to this - Am I suppose to let the seeds completely dry out before I plant them and if yes any idea how long and how deep and any other info I might need to know? Thank you.

I have never tried growing daffs from seed, so can't help with that. But be aware the daffodil you collected from (is that even legal, taking seed from a botanical gardens plant?) is likely a hybrid. As such the plants you get from the seed may not resemble the parent plant.
