identification and where to put these 4 plants

My boyfriend's parents brought over some plants they took out of their garden but they didn't know what all the names were or where to plant them, so can you guys help me?

I live in the Pacific Northwest. (Renton, WA specifically.)

There are these two:

and they also gave us yarrow and daisies (just regular ones, I think)

So.. how much sun? How much water?

AND ALSO: are any of these deer-proof? The back yard is fenced but there's a small garden patch in the front that the deer get into. (It also gets a lot of sun.)

EDIT: neeeeever mind.;;; Apparently the green one is st John's wort, and upon closer inspection, I think the brown one is also Daisies. (But deader than the other ones I have..) And I've been assured that they all like sun and are mostly deer-proof.
