non blooming Mock Orange bush
We have a Mock Orange that doesn't seem to want to bloom. We've had it for 3 years now and the foliage seems to be very hearty but no blooms. It is on the east side of the house and gets about 4 hours of sun in the morning. What are we doing wrong?
It really needs full sun to bloom. That would mean at least 6 hours of sun a day. Is there any possibility that you could move it to a better location?
Also, do you prune it? Mock orange sets buds at the end of the season, so if you prune in the fall, you will cut all the flower buds off. They should be pruned immediately after flowering.
