Lupins - what to plant in front of them

Would appreciate any suggestions - we have a beautiful, but small, stone walled garden that I am trying to re-establish. We have 3 lovely blue lupins, but they need something in between/below them to enhance them.

Any perennial ground cover, baby's breathe is an example. Look in the garden center for ideas.
