Broadleaf weeds in German Iris
Can anyone tell me if you can spray a broadleaf weed-killer (24D or anything?) in an iris bed to kill the weeds without hurting the iris? Very large area...hand weeding is almost out of the question (at least without LOTS of extra help!) Thanks...
I don't know of any broadleaf weed killer that won't also kill the iris.
I have read that there are a few herbicides that you can apply before the weeds emerge, but I don't know anything about their safety, or what damage they might do to the environment. I think they might not be available to homeowners's, but require a licensed professional to do the application. Not sure about that, though.
