Has anyone grown "primula pulverulenta", otherwise know as "candelabra primrose"? I have been studying it, as I may put it in my garden, but was wondering if anyone had ever had it before? Thanks!

Grwe it years back at the Plant Group where I used to work; don't think it did so well there but you have an entirely different climate...
I love P. japonica and we grew P. viallii at the nursery last year; I really like that one...

"Primula Vialii" reminds me of those popsicles we used to get when we were kids. I don't even think they make them anymore. Plus, their ORANGE AND YELLOW - not my colors I'm afraid!

I just got my first primrose from a friend a few weeks ago - no idea what kind it is - but it's bluish purple and oh so lovely on my front porch right now.
For anyone else who doesn't know much about these pretty flowers:

Val, P. vialli has a maroon bud that opens purple/pink...
