Wave petunias

Has anyone started wave petunias by seed? I would never think of doing this as there are usually so many of them ready to buy BUT for the past 2 years I have thought I was buying the blue wave petunias and have gotten a light shade of pink and then last year flaming pink. I want the blue ones (the ones that look like a dark royal purple) and wonder if I should go the seed "root". Bahahahahah!

Well I bought them!! I found the "Tidal" petunia variety this week and will start them next week for good measure!

I shall let the board know how this pans out - btw I got 11 seeds for $6.99 - but from the website they look well worth the money ... and we don't get that variety in the stores around here!

Anybody with seed starting advice - feel free to post! 8)

Good luck! I look forward to hearing about your results! This is what gardening is all about. I personally love playing with new seeds.
