Bachelor Button

Has anybody grown this flower from seed? I am currently growing alot of veggies,But saw a packet of these flowers at a local Walgreens and had to get them.Problem is that they got about 1 1/2 inches tall,had a week of rain and they were gone-completely! I have more planted-Does anyone think they will grow again and how long till flowers.Thanks in advance.

I broadcast seed as part of a wildflower mix and they germinate pretty well most years. There has been some discussion of bachelor button being invasive, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. A few scattered plants will come up from self seeding, but by the third year there are no more. It might be good to check your area and see if the plant tends to be invasive there.
