Hibiscus Rooting

Can I cut a branch off a Hisbiscus and get it to grow without the root? I don't really think I can but thought I would check. Thanks in advance.

Possibly. Here are links to some sites with instructions for rooting cuttings:

https://www.plantanswers.com/hibiscus_propogation.htm

https://hibiscus-sinensis.com/cuttings.htm

I have always been interested in rooting cuttings from some of my rhodies and azaleas, but I've never seemed to have the time. I hope to get to it this year, though. :)

the only thing that I have noticed, is to use a soil that has really good drainage. Everythime I try, it seems to rot because it's too wet before it gets a chance to root. Good luck and hope it turns out well...

I noticed in a post on another thread somewhere on the forums, that liquid rooting hormone was recommended over the powdered type. I bought some of that. Perhaps it will help my efforts to clone my rhodies and azaleas. :)
