3 July 2006 It rained last night about 1.5 inches in about 10 minutes. Our gardens were very dry, since we had almost no rain during June. In fact, the strawberry crops were a disaster. This rain was most welcome. Enjoy.

I grow many poppies these are mostly Shirley poppies. The flowers are picked off regularly and the plant booms for about three weeks or more. Somehow I always like the appearance, since they look so delicate.
