A Friendly Biggest Veg competition

Why didn’t I think of this before!? I’m sorry if I’m posting this at the wrong time for the southern gardeners who might be already seeing summer decline, but post if you want to show off your biggest veg from the garden.

1lb 3.6 ounces Big Beef tomato we ate several already. I pick them when they are totally red then leave them in the kitchen 3 days they get sweeter with a better tomato flavor. Fertilize with wood ash.

4.4 ounce Russet Potato is the only large 1 we have left. There were 5 slightly larger we cooked them for baking potatoes.

6.2 ounce Kennebec is our largest so far not sure why I dug this 1 up early. 2 rows of Kennebec have not been dug up yet.

2.9 ounce Intermediate day onion is probably our largest there were not very many this size most were 40% to 60% smaller.

2.0 ounce Garlic is probably the largest, there was only 2 or 3 this size, most were much smaller.

0.0 ounce Raspberry scales says it weights a whole nothing, LOL. There was several larger than this but they are gone, this 1 is the typical size.

None of my stuff got very big this year; does stuff from last year count? I had some Mr. Stripeys and German Greens that got over 1lb.

My biggest tomato so far is a ‘Wes’ 1 Lbs. 1.3 oz

Anyway ... I've only got 3 stalks - all that germinated out of 18 old seeds; but I hope to hand pollinate & harvest new (Golden Bantam) seed for next year.

This is about as big as Tabasco peppers get. Little peppers with a big flavor. My scales show it is ZERO ounces.

I was surprised to find these two out there today - I've been looking lately, but not closely, due to this horrible heat! And now I know, heat doesn't seem to bother these! They were lost in those vines. I found 4 smaller ones, which I put on top, so as not to let those get so large.
