Mystery Squash

Can anyone help identify this one. I thought I planted Japanese Striped Pumpkin, but what I’ve got looks like a giant dark green butternut squash. . Thanks

If the fruits are really big, I’m going to suggest it could be related to one of the "di Napoli" squashes — usually called "long of Naples"
The one hanging from the trellis should be put in a sling to relieve the weight on the vine or it could put too much pressure or even tear it down. Hang and adjust as the fruit grows to take up the Weight..

Welcome to the forum!
I have some butternuts that start out that color, but eventually turn the regular color. Whatever those are, they are not mature yet, so definitely let them grow longer.

Pepperhead, why do you say JenFree's squash is not mature? I don't usually grow them but I have a butternut plant this year. There are 3 fruits on it at different stages. It wilts badly on hot days even though it's in shade for a large part of the day, and giving it lots of water doesn't seem to help.
