Eight weeks in...

My early garden is full. I'm getting spinach and herbs from it now. Onions should be done in a few weeks, along with peas and broccoli. Peas have outgrown their trellis already.

The few green beans I put in here had frost damage but they bounced back and are blossoming. I knew it was too early for them but thought I'd give them a try.

I have a few carrots that I started from seed in early March and transplanted. Never had carrots before. How do I know when I can pull them up?

For carrots, I look at the crown just under the dirt. Once it's diameter is about the size I want, I will pull one to see how the carrots look. If it's good then I pull them all, if it's a little small, I wait a few more days.
