Here is a few photos of our corn so far this year. Does anyone know when the corn will start to show? It's getting pretty tall now

The ears should start appearing soon after the tassels appear. I check the ears about 10 days after the tassels appear to see if they are ready. Most of the time the corn silk will turn brown and wither, but I have been fooled and had full ears ready to pick before the silks turned completely brown. If the juice in the kernel is thin then it is perfect, you can eat it raw off the stalk, but if the juice is thick and milky, the corn is getting old and will be more starchy.

I have the pot of water on the boil before I pick my corn so I can toss them in as soon as they are picked.
