2014 Rock Dust and Biochar Home Garden Field Trials

I took last week off and had a great time working in the garden! I am super excited about the Rock Dust and Biochar Trials this summer! Here are two of the set up videos explaining the trial and setting up the beds. I would love to get your feedback!

This year we we are completing a trial to test the effectiveness of Rock Dust and Bichar on the Home Vegetable Garden. This weeks video outlines the trial design!

Rock Dust and Biochar both claim to have an positive effect on your home garden plants. As such our Hypothesis is that the Rock Dust and Biochar will have a positive impact on the harvest in grams of produce. The second hypothesis is that they produce higher nutritional value as such we will be conducting Brix Testing.

It is time to set up the Trial Beds for the 2014 Rock Dust and Biochar Home garden field trial. This video shows the process to set them up in my garden! Let me know how your set up went!

I would like to draw participants attention to a key point. If you are participating in both the Rock Dust and Biochar Trial you can use the same control as long as you treat all of the beds the same with the exception of adding Rock Dust to one bed and Biochar to another. Just as an example the compost used to charge the Biochar should be added to the control and Rock Dust beds.
