I am still trying to eat 14 water melons.

I have 3 ripe water melons in the frig. This one is almost gone. There are several more melons in the garden that will be ripe soon. I had 28 melons and gave several away. I thought the vines were going to die but the weather has cooled off temperatures are down to mid 90s in the day and mid 60s at night, the whole garden is looking better. Bell pepper plants have come back to life and peppers are getting larger. The tomatoes are starting to recover too. Some of the winter garden seeds are growing.

We froze some. You can also freeze the juice, we put juice in baggies, then in a small container. I remember freezing peaches (ripe peaches) didn't work so well; mushy when it thawed, but if I recall the watermelons were good. Well can't hurt to try right? Unless you want to eat 14 more. :)

Inject with tequila, freeze, and voila: frozen watermelon margueritas ;)
