20°f HARD freeze has don't no damage to our 5 broccoli and 1 cauliflower plant. I wonder if the 12" high soil hills helped to keep plants warm? I did not cover the plants I wanted to learn how hardy plants are. Leaves show no sign of freeze damage other then bug holes in the leaves. Plants appear to be starting to grow heads. It is very common for TN to be 40° to 55° on a sunny day in winter then be 15° after dark. Wife said, cauliflower is more hardy than broccoli she use to grow it in Michigan plants did good down to about -10°f.
