I think my transplanted roses died is there hope

:( my neighbours gave me some rose bushes I have no idea what kind they are. I transplanted them last fall. they all look like they never made it except 2 have green and one looks like it is about to produce some leaves. do I wait alittle longer for them or is there no hope. any suggestions. they are in full sun. I live in Saskatchewan Canada and our winters are very cold here.

I don't have enough experience to give you advice about your rose bushes, but I wish you luck with them.

I planted my first rose bushes this spring and they seem to be doing fine - rosa rugosa. I planted them so I can get rose hips. I added bonemeal and bloodmeal to the soild when I planted them. They have many leaves but no flowers yet. I planted some garlic with mine because I read that garlic is good for them. I will plant more garlic, to surround them in the fall.

If you have some pictures that would help to get an idea on what is going on with your rose bushes. :0
