Have any rose bush info?

Hello.
I've always wanted to grow roses, but they seemed a bit difficult to grow.
But just recently, I was given 3 rose bushes, 2 Europeana and 1 Heirloom (cut, still in the bags like in stores) and I would like to plant them but am not sure how/where.
I was wondering if I could let them grow in pots until I have found a permanant spot for them. Plus if they were in pots, I could move them indoors on a cold night into better conditions if needed.
If pots would work, what is the best soil for them? and fertilizer?
Also, should the two types not be together so they won't cross pollinate?
I've read about them, but know nothing about roses, really, so any tips would be great.
