Black spots

I bought a climbing rose last year. Had a terrific showing this year. Now, black spots all over the leaves!! What gives?
Thanks in advance :)

It’s a common problem on roses Carol.
It’s caused by a fungus....aptly called Black Spot...that settles on the leaves and infects the tissue of the leaf.
Leaves affected turn yellow and eventually drop.
Control is by using a fungal spray that protects the leaf from further infection.
Rake any fallen leaves up and burn as it is infectious and will continue to spread spores if left on the ground.
