How can I grow large roses in a hot humid climate? what type of roses would thrive in hot humid climate? I am in the Fiji islands. Thanks
If picking Hybrid Teas look for high level disease resistance, because black spot and humidity go hand in hand. You might check out the rugosas, old english roses and some of the floribundas get quite large and smell heavenly. Most of the old roses are much more disease resistant and do not require as much maintenance as some of the newer hybrids.
For example, try Jackson Perkins, Palantines, Antique Heirloom Roses among others, it will at least give you a place to start.
