Planted rose bushes - some slow at growing...

Hi All

I planted about 8 of these roses last months, all have leafs on them currently and growing fine, two of them haven’t any leafs atall, is that normal- are they just slow ? Or is there a issue? How can I encourage them to grow?

Thanks

First make sure they are still alive. Cut the tip of the cane with a clean (sterilized) sharp pruner. If the pith is healthy then the rose is still alive. If the tips are brown or brittle and the inside of the cane is dead ( not green), you may have to investigate if the lower part of the rose is alive. Roses do have canes die back. You need to cut back the rose into healthy tissue. If all the canes have died back and the rose crown is dead, there is nothing to do but take it out.
