Suggsted Rose Varieties for Zone 8

Now that I know I'm planting my roses in the fall, I'm looking for suggestions for varieties to plant. I'll be planting 2-3 bushes next to an existing (red) rose bush. I'd like each to be a different variety or at least a different colour.
The flower bed is in a bright spot in my north-facing front yard (Zone 8 ). I guess it probably gets 6 hours of light a day in the winter and 10ish in the summer.
I'm a newb so a hardy variety is probably best.
I prefer what I think of as "classic" roses -- like the ones you see at the florist.
Any ideas?
