Identify Rose

This flowering tree (?) may not even be a rose since I am such a newbie and have acquired many new plants with my new house. I just want to make sure I take care of what I have in the best way I possibly can :) If not roses, maybe someone else can help me identify this tree and provide instructions on pruning and watering? I am in central Texas and it is located in a mostly shaded yard.

nope, not a rose, though it has rose in the name. It is Rose of Sharon, which is in the hibiscus family, but is a hardy hibiscus that can take cold winters.

Here's a little article about pruning Rose of Sharon:

but they are very tough, easy care, and pretty rampant spreaders...

It looks like one of the old English roses. Probably a David Austin rose. However, there are a lot of pinks.
