Rose Question

Hey,
I have not pruned my roses since they first bloomed this summer. Is that a big mistake? Will they not bloom as successfully next time? They are knockout roses.

Also, I have one crawling roses that is NOT crawling up the trestle I put there for it. In fact, the's growing the opposite way towards where the morning sun is. Am I supposed to tie it to the trestle so it grows up on it?

Thanks

I guess I should prune my roses tomorrow. How low can I prune a rose stalk?

why did you interpret "Knockout roses require little pruning." to mean "I should go prune my roses tomorrow."?

I think mg meant little to no pruning.

What she did suggest was tying your sprawler to a trellis.

I am going to get a new trellis that is higher so the rose can go higher. The rose is already taller than the short trellis I have. How close should I put a trellis to the rose?
