rose pruning question

I neglected to prune my roses at the end of the season and I am wondering if it would hurt to prune them now? I live in NW Indiana and our temps are still quite cold. I would have searched the forum to see if someone had posted an answer to this question before, but could not find the search bar for the forum. Thanks in advance for your help.

You could email Judy Morgan at sdimaio@frontier.net to see when she recommends pruning (April would be my guess). She is the president of the Duneland Rose Society and they meet in Hebron. Here is a link to their not 100% current but still useful website:

Caustion: roses that bloom only once in the Spring should be pruned after the blooms have come and gone.
