transplanting a rose bush

I have a rose that I want to move. I have no idea how to go aboutit though. I have the site picked out and it's with two other rose bushes. I beleive the weather is warm enough (I'm in central pa zone 5). But how far down does the hole need to be and how do I dig up my rose without hurting the roots.

I am totally new at all of this gardening stuff.
